My Own Self Portraits

I chose this image, because I like how it's a side-view of my face. Usually in self portraits you see the entire face: I found this angle a bit more unique and different. While composing this photo I made sure I liked the background. I chose this back, because it's still a white background, but isn't as plain. One way to possible make this better, might be to get ride of the shadow, but I think it's still good with it.

I chose this picture, because I like how it appears that I am just part of the background. Although it isn't too difficult to notice me, because the pathway points towards me and the colour of my jacket helps stand out a bit. I had another image similar to this, but I chose this one, because in the other one I was standing in the sun versus this one where I'm in the shadow. I liked how more discreet I looked in this picture.

I like this image because the branches above created a natural archway over the path. I also like the sharpness around the tree's trunk and the colours seem slightly vibrant, but not overly so it still has a more mysterious feel.

I chose this one, because I you're able to see the sun's ray in the picture. It was fairly hard to capture the rays. The original image was very dark so I had to increase the brightness much more. I would like it if it was a bit more brighter so you could see the trees more, but I couldn't make the picture anymore brighter without my jacket changing colour and looking very odd. But I think it's alright with brightness it is currently at and compared to the original photo, this is very bright. And if I make it more bright you wouldn't be able to see the rays as easily.

I chose this picture, because it expresses my personality. Most of the time you might be able to find me playing or running around. This is just one of the things I do.

Professional Self Portraits

Falling Off the Face of the Earth
By Ian Iott

photo

I chose this photo because I think it is very unique. I love how the artist played with the orientation of the photo to make it appear that the subject is falling down an infinite hole. I also like the the orangey tinge to the photo.

I chose this photo because I also liked unique this image is. I thought it was very original of the artist to use the sign to bring attention towards the subject.

Ya TAAHHHH!!!

I chose this final image, because I like that the artist isn't afraid to express their true selves. I also love how he played with the lighting in this photo. It is best viewed with a black background screen.
