28 December 2012

This week is waiting. I took this shot using a slow shutter speed and a low aperture during break. Taking this photo wasn't too easy. Since it was during break I had a time limit and it would only work at the beginning and the end of break, because in the middle of break everyone is standing around. Originally I wanted to use Aze as my subject, but Mr.Garnet got in the way. In the end he was a better subject. I cropped out Aze and brightened the photo but not too much, because I lfind the darker edge suits the photo more.

The theme of the week is signs of the seasons. I'm not 100% sure why I thought this picture would fit the theme the most out of my other pictures. I think it might have to do with the deep brown of the trunk with the evergreen green. To me these colours scream wintertime.

The theme of this week is outdoor beauty. I think how the sky reflects off of the stream and the dead leaves around help give the image a more darker, depressed mood.

This week is comfort food. I had to position the pizza bagel in such a way to cover up some writing on the plate. I really like the shadows under the plate and bagel and how you could see some of the herbs so clearly.

23 November 2012

This week is a glimpse. A glimpse should have a frame around the edges and lead to a focal point in the middle. In this photo the bushes frame the pathway leading to the light at the end.

This week is opposites. It's getting colder here and this morning there was frost everywhere. I took this photo in the morning after the sun melted some of the frost. The remaining frost was saved, because it was shielded by the shade of the fence.

9 November 2012

This week is spilled photos. In this image I tried to photoshop goo into the picture, although I am not the best with photoshop.

2 November 2012

This week is creepy photos. I choose this photo because I found Aze's blurred face in the background a little freaky. I took this photo with a slow shutter speed, so Indervir stood still and Aze shook his head.

28 October 2012

The theme of this week was faces. I choose this photo because I liked the different shades of the wood and the sculpture intrigued me.

By Nils Windisch

I choose this photo because I liked the repetition of the drawers at different depths causing each one to have different shading.
